The ACM/GFI joint venture was established in 2002, combining the tanker broking expertise of ACM Shipping and the experience of GFI in developing new derivatives markets. From offices in London, New York, Singapare and Cape Town, ACM/GFI provides brokerage services in forward freight agreements. We belive ACM/GFI enables oil companies, ship owners and other users of shipping capacity to better manage volatile shipping costs by utilising freight derivatives. ACM/GFI McQuilling:
In 2005, ACM/GFI and McQuilling Brokerage Partners – a specialist in oil marine transport announced a joint venture, creating a wet freight derivatives broking desk at McQuilling’s offices in New York. This gives US-based shipping companies and charterers a single point of access for all their financing, chartering and hedging requirements.
